1975, August - Washington Redskins WANTS to set up Indian scholarships after people start complaining about racist mascots and team names

Just like Dan Snyder today, in 1975 the Washington Redskins (well, the coach George Allen) declared he wanted to set up scholarships for the "Forgotten Americans." Once the Indian community started complaining about being mocked and offended, they wanted to throw money at it and pretend to be sympathetic to the people. But after thorough research, I cannot find any other reference to this scholarship, or if any person actually received money for college. It seemed to be just another PR stunt.
